At Local Warmth, our kiln-dried firewood is produced to deliver ultimate burn quality with maximum heat output. Unlike unseasoned or standard seasoned wood, our kiln-drying process removes most of the moisture for you, reducing the average moisture content to around 12%–20%. This means the logs ignite faster, burn hotter, and give a cleaner, more efficient flame.

Because less energy is wasted evaporating water, you get more usable heat from every log. In real terms, 10 kiln-dried logs can generate a similar level of heat to around 33 unseasoned logs, meaning you can achieve the same warmth using roughly one-third of the wood—great value for money.

All Local Warmth kiln-dried logs are UK-sourced hardwood, proven to burn longer and produce more heat than softwood. Each bag typically contains a premium mix of oak, ash, beech, and silver birch, releasing a beautiful natural aroma as it burns.
